Okay, the reception seems to be positive, so here is the beginning of a little fic where Jiang Yanli truth serums Jin Guangyao, implied Sangyao

Meng Yao knows how truth tastes. How it remains in the mouth long after it has been swallowed. How it sits, heavy and leaden in the stomach. Meng Yao rolls it across his tongue, considering, and then pointedly downs the cup of tea. His eyes flick up to meet Jiang Yanli’s and he tilts his head. Your move.

She smiles at him, eyes glittering in the half light of the room. “Jin Guangyao.”
He puts the teacup down on the table. “Jiang Yanli.” He can feel his head begin to spin.
“Why are you here, Jin Guangyao?” she says softly. For a moment he is grateful, until he remembers she is the reason for his headache. He shakes his head.
“Call me Meng Yao,” he says, “and I’m here for Huaisang.” She tilts her head to the side.
“Nie Huaisang? Second Master Nie? Heir to QingheNie?” He nods. “Here in Lanling or here in this room?”
“Both.”

She looks at him and in that moment he sees Yu-furen in her.
